ASRA awarded to Austrian companies meeting the increasing requirements for non-financial reporting in an exemplary manner.
Greiner was one of 14 Austrian companies to receive an Austrian Sustainability Reporting Award 2019.
This year, the Austrian Chamber of Accountants and Tax Consultants, the Austrian Institute of Auditors and their partners presented the Austrian Sustainability Reporting Award for the 20th time. The partners include the Austrian Federal Ministry for Sustainability and Tourism, respACT- Austrian business council for sustainable development, the Austrian Federal Economic Chamber, Verband gemeinnütziger Stiftungen (Austrian Association of Charitable Foundations), the Federation of Austrian Industries, and the Austrian Federal Government’s Digitalisation Agency.
The prizes go to the companies which published the best sustainability reports in the previous year. It singles out those that have lived up to the requirements for non-financial reporting, particularly in an age when uncertainty is on the rise in financial, environmental and social terms.
Sustainability reports are valuable tools in terms of promoting companies’ overall development, particularly in these times of ever-increasing global challenges. They also enable businesses to present the environmental and social measures they have implemented, as well as their goals and levels of goal attainment, thereby promoting a company’s continuing improvement.
To mark the 20th anniversary of the long-established award, the various companies’ submissions were presented. A total of 14 companies took home awards, in the categories Sustainability report large companies, Sustainability report small and medium-sized enterprises (less than 250 employees), Integrated or combined sustainability report and annual report, Sustainability report public organisations, First report and in the category 20 Years ASRA – winner of the winners, were presented at a gala ceremony awarded the best companies in Vienna’s Wertheim Palace.
