Greiner Sustainability Board: “We’ve got lots to do!”

Here at Greiner, we are constantly working to become a sustainable company. Along with the global commitment and dedication of our colleagues, clear requirements and decisions at the top level are particularly essential to this. These decisions are taken in the Greiner Sustainability Board, which met again recently.

The members of the Sustainability Board gathered in Kremsmünster to adopt projects and take forward-thinking decisions in their role as the central decision-making body on sustainability. Their aim is to advance sustainability in all divisions of Greiner. Axel Kühner, CEO of Greiner AG, representatives of the senior management of Greiner Bio-One, Greiner Packaging and NEVEON, experts, and the Greiner AG sustainability team meet three to four times a year to lay the foundations for the company’s sustainability initiatives.

This time, evaluation of our performance in the past year was top of the agenda. After all, where we stand as a company and whether we achieve our ambitious targets in the set period is our main priority. In addition, the decision-making body dealt intensively with the issue of diversity, equality and inclusion as well as the sustainable structuring of supply chains – both of which are key issues for the future at Greiner. It is hardly surprising that the related discussions are lively. However, one thing is certain for Axel Kühner and the members of the Sustainability Board: “We’ve got lots to do!”.

"The Sustainability Board is one of the most important decision-making bodies at Greiner. This is where the course is set for a sustainable future. Controversial discussions are part of the agenda here. This fact is particularly valuable for me!"
